A bodywork session is a conversation, too.

Touch, movement and feedback work together. Here is how an appointment takes shape around what you notice and what matters to you.

When people picture bodywork, they often imagine lying on a table while a practitioner gets to work. In my approach, the appointment also includes talking, noticing and making decisions together. Those parts help give the hands-on work direction.

Begin with a useful question

We start with what brings you in. That might be a familiar sense of tension, an awkward movement or a wish to understand how your body responds during a busy week. A specific example is often more useful than finding the right terminology.

We also discuss relevant health concerns, comfortable positions and your preferences about touch. This helps us agree what to explore during the appointment.

Let feedback shape the work

During the hands-on part, you remain fully clothed on a padded table or in a comfortable seated position. With your agreement, I might support an area, use gentle pressure or invite a small movement. I explain what I am suggesting before we try it.

Feedback can be simple: less pressure, a different position, a pause, or “I cannot tell yet”. You do not need to produce a response or continue with something that does not feel right. Touch and movement can be adjusted as we go.

Connect the experience with daily life

Towards the end, we review what you noticed. We might revisit a comfortable movement from the beginning or talk about what felt useful. The aim is to make the experience understandable, rather than give every sensation a complicated interpretation.

A 90-minute appointment includes this conversation and review as well as the bodywork. If it is useful, we choose a simple observation or movement to explore between visits, based on what we have actually done together.

Something to take with you

Your feedback is part of the work. You can ask, adjust, pause or stop throughout the appointment.
