Anatomy and history
The pleasure anatomy history left out
The seminar begins by restoring the pleasure anatomy and sexual knowledge that generations of women and men were never given.
- How the complete clitoris extends far beyond the small part that is visible
- The female prostate, the G-spot and how these structures are understood and debated
- Why female ejaculation and squirting are different phenomena
Women’s sexuality did not become mysterious because the body is unknowable. It became mysterious because the map was made incomplete.
Restore the missing map of women’s pleasure
Women’s sexuality is often presented as inherently complicated or mysterious. Andrew offers a more compelling explanation: the map became difficult to understand because so much of it disappeared from mainstream education. Drawing on Demystifying Female Genitalia, he traces how important anatomical knowledge was marginalised or removed from medical and educational texts from the nineteenth century onwards.
Using detailed images and diagrams, the seminar restores the structures that ordinary sexual education still tends to reduce or omit. The visible tip of the clitoris becomes one part of its much larger internal structure; the G-spot is explored in relation to surrounding tissues; and the female prostate is brought back into a body map that people can actually understand.
Andrew also distinguishes female ejaculation from squirting. Rather than treating them as interchangeable or mysterious, he explains the different fluids, structures and continuing areas of research with clarity and intellectual honesty.
