Lesson 6 · 13 min

Keep the conversation open

You do not need to finish every conversation with a perfect resolution. Sometimes a useful ending is knowing what has been understood and what needs more time.

Try it for yourself

At the end of a conversation, name one thing you appreciated and one thing you would like to return to. Agree on a next step only if it is helpful to both of you.

A moment to reflect

Which listening habit would you like to keep exploring?

A question for Lukas

Keep a question and its reply beside the lesson that prompted it. Message translation can be set up in your chosen languages; German is shown here as one example.

It is fine to keep this simple. Choose one thing you noticed, and begin there. You don’t need a complete explanation.
