Website building & ongoing support

Website Services Agreement

Your website, your ownership and a clear agreement about the work we do together.

Version 2026-10-29.1 · Published 29 October 2026

1. Who provides the service and when the agreement starts

The provider is Lantern Lifestyle Coaching FZ-LLC, registered in the United Arab Emirates under registration number 47007877, providing website services through Andrew Barnes. Contact us at energy@andrewbarnes.org.

This agreement covers the website build, additional features and any ongoing services listed in your accepted order. Your order identifies the customer, scope, total price and tax, payment arrangements, relevant accounts and any specific exceptions. A specific, expressly agreed order provision takes priority over a general provision here; mandatory legal rights always remain.

Selecting features, copying a package or sending an enquiry does not place an order or start a subscription. Before payment, you review the final order and this agreement. You can download your selected scope and this agreement before continuing to Wix checkout, where any applicable tax and the final total are shown before you pay. Your confirmation email includes the amount paid and the accepted agreement. For an individually arranged order, we send you the documents for acceptance. The contract starts when you accept the order and we confirm it in writing. Payment is due before preparation forms, personalised account guidance or build work begin. Separately quoted work needs an agreed scope and price before purchase.

We keep the accepted version with your order and send you a copy you can retain. Publishing a newer version does not by itself change an existing agreement. These terms do not retrospectively replace terms you have already agreed.

2. Your package and build schedule

We adapt the selected template using your approved content and purchased features. Your order specifies included pages, languages, session or product limits, payment arrangements and other allowances. Example websites can show optional features that are not included in every package. Provider-managed checkout, sign-in and course screens may differ from the examples; material differences are explained before purchase.

You provide the completed preparation forms, words, images, prices, business details and necessary account access. Once these are ready, we agree the build, review and launch dates. Delays in content, decisions or account access may require rescheduling. Priority work is subject to availability and a separately agreed fee. Extra scope or changed requirements are priced and agreed before work starts.

3. Reviews, launch and corrections

The standard build includes two consolidated rounds of changes within the purchased scope. Send one collected list per round, including any translation corrections. New pages, new functionality, a different design direction or further rounds require a separate quote. We ask for your approval before launch.

Corrections needed because our delivered work does not meet the agreed scope are treated separately from discretionary revision rounds or paid care allowances. Report a problem promptly so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy. Purchasing ongoing support is not a condition of receiving remedies for our original work. Changes made by you or another provider, and later changes to external services, may require a separate assessment and quote.

4. Build cancellation and refunds

You may request cancellation by email. If you cancel before work begins, we refund your build payment less any specifically authorised, non-recoverable third-party costs. Once work has begun, we provide an itemised account of the work actually performed and authorised non-recoverable costs, and refund the unused balance. We do not charge for unperformed work simply because the full build was paid upfront.

If we cannot complete your build, we explain the position promptly, provide the usable work you have paid for and refund the part we cannot deliver. This does not limit any additional remedy required by law. Cancellation and refund rights required by applicable law take priority over these arrangements.

5. Ownership, template licence and the creator credit

You retain ownership of your supplied content, domain and business records. Once the agreed build is paid for, we provide your website files and access to the agreed accounts. Custom work created specifically for your website belongs to you, except for pre-existing templates, reusable components and third-party materials.

We retain our master templates and reusable components. You receive a continuing, non-exclusive licence to use and modify the supplied copy for your website, including with another developer or your own AI tools. The licence continues when support ends. It does not permit selling or distributing our template as a template product. Fonts, stock assets, software and other third-party materials remain subject to their own licences.

Your website includes a discreet footer credit, “Website by Andrew Barnes”, linked to https://www.andrewbarnes.org/practitioner-websites. You agree to keep this credit visible and linked while using the website we supply, including if you manage it yourself. Any change or removal must be agreed with us in writing. The credit identifies who built the website; it does not mean ongoing support is included.

Your site is an independent copy. Changes to our master template do not automatically update your website. New template features and software upgrades are included only where your order or support scope expressly says so.

6. Accounts, subscriptions and handover

Normally, your domain, Wix, GitHub, Vercel and relevant business-service accounts are in your name and paid by you. We receive the access needed for agreed work. You keep owner access and are responsible for account security, renewals and provider charges. Cancelling our care plan does not cancel these separate services.

At handover, we provide your website files or repository access, existing setup instructions and a practical introduction to the agreed everyday tasks. If hosting or another account is temporarily supplied through our account, your order must record that exception, who pays, and the transfer arrangements. Before that arrangement ends, we coordinate transfer of the agreed site and access. Any additional migration work and customer account costs are explained and agreed in advance.

Providers can change their fees, services, interfaces and technical requirements independently. Necessary adaptation may require separately priced work. We remain responsible for the work we have agreed to perform; third-party dependencies are not a blanket exclusion of that responsibility.

7. Optional maintenance, SEO and support

Support begins after launch on the date stated in your separate support order. It identifies the website, plan, covered features, time allowances, reports, price, tax, billing period, response arrangements and cancellation contact. Selecting a plan on the offer page does not authorise a charge.

Only the listed work is included. Checks are scheduled, not continuous monitoring. Unused monthly time does not carry forward. Larger repairs, full payment or email tests, upgrades, new pages, redesigns and new features require a quote unless expressly included or agreed within available VIP time. We seek approval before chargeable additional work. Priority handling is not emergency or round-the-clock cover, and a response time is not a guaranteed resolution time.

SEO services cover the work described in the order, such as launch setup or periodic search checks. Monitoring does not include an unlimited SEO campaign or ongoing content production. Search engines control indexing and rankings, so a particular ranking, traffic level, number of enquiries or revenue cannot be guaranteed.

8. Support billing, renewals and customer cancellation

Monthly plans are paid monthly in advance. Annual plans are paid yearly in advance at the agreed annual price. The order states whether renewal is automatic or invoiced, the first charge and subsequent renewal dates. We obtain your authorisation before setting up recurring charges.

You can stop renewal by emailing us before the next renewal charge. There is no cancellation penalty. Unless an earlier ending is agreed or required by law, support continues through the period already paid for and ordinary cancellation does not create a refund for that period. If we fail to provide the agreed service, applicable refund and other legal rights remain available.

If a payment fails, we contact you and allow at least 14 days to resolve it before pausing the affected support. Pausing support does not authorise us to delete your website, retain your credentials or cancel accounts you own.

9. Future fee and service changes

We may review maintenance, SEO and support fees to reflect changes in the cost of providing the service. We will email you at least 60 days before an increase takes effect, explaining the new price and start date. The increase applies at your first renewal after that notice period. A prepaid annual plan keeps its agreed price and scope until the end of its paid term. You may cancel renewal before the increase takes effect without a cancellation penalty.

For example, if an annual renewal occurs before the 60-day notice period ends, the new fee cannot apply at that renewal. Agreed one-off build prices are not increased retrospectively. A change to the work you request is a separate scope decision requiring your agreement.

A material reduction in an existing support plan requires advance written agreement or takes effect at renewal with at least 60 days’ email notice and the opportunity to stop renewal without penalty. We do not reduce a prepaid annual plan’s agreed scope mid-term. If a service must be discontinued instead, the following closure arrangements apply.

10. If we discontinue support

Website support is a separate service and is not a lifetime commitment. If we decide to discontinue it, we will give you at least 90 days’ written notice. We will provide your current website files and existing handover instructions, confirm your account access, and refund any prepaid support covering the period after our service ends. You may maintain the website yourself or appoint another provider. Additional migration or development work requires a separate agreement. Ending support does not remove your rights relating to work already supplied or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

For a planned closure, we continue the agreed support during the notice period. Refunds for the unused prepaid period are calculated proportionately from the amount actually paid, including any annual discount, and returned within 14 days after the service ends. We do not deduct an exit fee or recover an annual discount.

The ordinary handover of current files, existing instructions and account access is included. Bespoke training, a platform change, new integrations or other additional development are not part of that basic handover. If your site is temporarily hosted in our account, the transfer arrangement in your order also applies. We do not appoint a replacement provider or give it access to your data without your agreement.

11. Managing your website after support ends

From the agreed end date, you or your chosen provider take responsibility for future maintenance, backups, testing, security updates and changes required by connected services. We do not automatically update or monitor a self-managed website. You can use suitable AI coding tools, but you remain responsible for reviewing, testing and publishing their changes. Routine Wix dashboard tasks do not require AI.

We confirm the handover and remove our ongoing access when it is no longer needed. We return or securely delete client information we no longer need, subject to agreed data-processing arrangements and lawful record-retention duties. We may retain the order, invoices and appropriate service records. Future help is subject to availability, a review of your current site and a new agreement.

12. Your content, tax and legal responsibilities

You confirm that you have permission to use the content, images, fonts and other materials you supply, and approve their accuracy before publication. You and your accountant are responsible for your prices, tax information, invoices, financial records and reporting. We configure the agreed tools using the information you provide; we do not provide tax advice or accounting services.

We can prepare general terms and privacy wording for your approval and configure the agreed privacy notices and consent controls. You are responsible for checking that these suit your activities, country and region. Specialist legal drafting, legal review and a guarantee of compliance are not included. Independent advice may be needed, particularly for sensitive personal information or regulated services.

13. Confidentiality and personal information

Both parties must protect confidential information received for the project and use it only for the agreed work or as required by law. We use access to your accounts only as needed to deliver and administer the service, and do not request client health records through website preparation forms.

Where we process personal information on your behalf, we agree the necessary data-processing terms before that access begins. These cover instructions, confidentiality, security, relevant providers, incident reporting, international transfers where applicable, and return or deletion of information. This website agreement does not replace those arrangements or your own privacy notice.

14. Problems, legal rights and applicable law

We use reasonable care and skill in delivering the agreed work. Contact us with a problem so we can investigate and propose a remedy. A website cannot be promised to run without interruption or remain compatible with every future third-party change. This does not exclude responsibility for our own work or any obligation that cannot legally be excluded.

The applicable law depends on the contracting parties and the transaction. Any specific governing-law provision must be identified in the order and cannot remove mandatory protections. Many website purchases are for business purposes; any consumer rights that do apply remain available.

Where an eligible consumer has a statutory withdrawal period, that right applies. If you want services to start during that period, we obtain the required separate request and acknowledgements before starting. Paying for a build alone does not waive a withdrawal right. Contacting us first does not restrict any available complaint, regulator or court process.
